Hello, this is PD Xenon.


With several holidays this October, we have been putting in extra effort to ensure smooth execution of our update plans and overall direction.


The newly released hero, Ivan, was designed with the fourth quarter content in mind, making him highly effective in World Challenge and the Arena.

We hope he has met your expectations to some degree.


As we move through the fourth quarter, we have many more topics to discuss with you.

We plan to share details on upcoming collaborations, recent updates on the main stages, and the direction of future updates.




1. Collaboration Plans


We are currently preparing two collaboration events.


Due to external contractual agreements, we ask for your understanding as we are unable to provide a definitive update at this time.


November Collaboration

  • In November, we will introduce a collaboration with a casual and charming IP, aiming to create a lighthearted and enjoyable atmosphere.
  • We are designing the character balance to be accessible and easy to enjoy, differing from the previous Frieren: Beyond Journey's End collaboration.


January Half-Year Anniversary Collaboration

  • For the half-year anniversary in January, we are planning a collaboration with a major IP.
  • We are aiming to welcome many new Captains while also meeting the expectations of our existing players who have shown tremendous support.




2. Future Content Structure

[Stage Content]

3rd Chapter Stage Difficulty

  • The recently added 3rd Chapter stages were designed with a relatively high difficulty level for the current state of the game.
    However, they have been structured so that players can reach these stages over time by continuously progressing through in-game activities and leveling up Gold stats. 
    The stages are built with a linear difficulty curve that ensures steady growth.
  • We recognized that previous stages lacked motivational rewards and sufficient growth incentives.
    To address this, we have adjusted the difficulty gradient to provide more meaningful rewards.

Drop Rates and Crafting Improvements

  • Based on feedback regarding the lack of motivation to progress through the stages,
    we are enhancing the types and quantity of dropped items and adjusting the reward structure to make stage completion more satisfying.

Seasonal Stage Expansion

  • We plan to expand stage content seasonally to allow players to focus on farming pets and resources within a designated period.
  • For instance, in November, we plan to add 3,300 stages each for Fire and Water attribute monsters, providing a total of 6,600 new stages.
  • Players will be able to utilize additional decks to conquer these stages and farm various materials through idle play, which can then be used for crafting and other purposes.

Main Stage Adjustments

  • We will introduce new story elements and modify certain aspects of the main stages for each chapter.
  • This includes changing monster wave patterns or applying additional weight to specific status effects to create more varied gameplay experiences.


[Challenge Content]

Difficulty and Reward System Stabilization

  • We plan to optimize the difficulty of challenges and adjust the reward structure based on stage completion.
  • For example, we recently introduced a system where clearing the 75th challenge stage provides a material for top-tier ring rewards.

Ranking and Competition System

  • Separate from server integration, we are working on systematically refining the ranking and competition systems
    to provide Captains with a greater sense of accomplishment. We will share more details once these changes are finalized.

World Challenge Planning

  • World Challenge is being developed as a battleground for players with top rankings in the existing challenges.
  • We envision this content as a large-scale competition, where top Captains from each server can represent their server and compete.
  • We hope this content will foster a sense of camaraderie and excitement, similar to an Olympic-style event.


[Sanctuary of the Warriors]

Belt Farming Update

  • In the upcoming patch next week, we will be adding belts that can be farmed in the 5th level of the Sanctuary of the Warriors.

Option and Enhancement System

  • As all equipment is now accessible, we plan to quickly introduce an option and enhancement system to deepen the content of the Sanctuary of the Warriors.

Improved Equipment Options and Enhancement Methods

  • We will implement systems that allow players to assign or enhance equipment options using special materials.
  • This will improve the utility of the Sanctuary and provide Captains with more meaningful choices.




3. Maximum Level Cap Unlock


We would like to provide more details about the maximum level cap unlock that was mentioned last week.


Gran Saga Idle is continually planning to expand content that enhances the utility of all heroes.

As such, we are working on improving the hero acquisition and growth system to align with this objective.

  • Hero Acquisition and Value Preservation: With the introduction of the Wishlist system, we aim to maintain the value of Hero Summon Tickets.
  • Increased Utility of Attribute-Based Content: We are expanding the range of content, including the Sanctuary of the Warriors, that leverages different attributes.

However, we acknowledge that the current growth elements are somewhat limited relative to the time and effort required to obtain and develop heroes.


To address this, we have decided to implement a maximum level cap unlock system.

  • While the basic level cap remains at 50, Captains will be able to unlock additional level caps through hero acquisition and star upgrades, allowing heroes to reach higher levels and unlock more rewards.
  • With this system, every time you acquire or upgrade a hero, the level cap will also be increased, creating a positive feedback loop where your deck grows stronger.

We expect to introduce this system in October, and we hope it will encourage you to take on more diverse content and provide a greater sense of achievement.




4. Halloween Event Costume Preview

4. Current Issue Update


We would like to provide a final update on the various issues currently affecting gameplay.


In addition to stage difficulty adjustments, the development team is aware of the following key issues:

  • Disconnection and overheating during idle play
  • Difficulty in auto-battle due to the addition of waves of numerous monsters
  • Decreased relic drop rate per monster compared to previous rates

[Optimization and Overheating]

  • We have identified some of the causes of overheating and are working on solutions.
  • We will provide further updates as soon as we have concrete information.

[Auto-Battle Issues]

  • The difficulty in auto-battle is due to balancing limitations caused by wave additions.
  • While we are working on a fundamental solution, we will temporarily address this by 
    implementing a HP recovery function after each wave cycle to ensure smoother battles.

[Decreased Relic Drop Rate]

  • We are currently overhauling the crafting system to address decreased reic drop rates.
  • This includes improvements to the items dropped from stages,
    and we plan to implement these changes alongside the introduction of the pet system.
  • We will ensure that these adjustments effectively resolve the issue.
