GranSaga Idle : KNIGHTSxKNIGHTS Notice
Twenty-first Developer's Note (24.10.25) + Coupon

Hello, this is PD Xenon.

As the weather keeps shifting between warm and cold, reminding us of the changing seasons, it’s hard to believe that it’s already been five months since the launch of Gran Saga: Idle.

While there are still parts of the game that haven’t fully met the vision we had in mind, I feel both a sense of responsibility and motivation to continue improving and evolving the game.

For the remainder of this year and into the first half of next year, we have some major monthly updates planned:

Although there have been times when we may have disappointed you, we’re committed to making Gran Saga: Idle the kind of game that you’ll want to return to.

We’ll keep working hard for that.

  • November: Major updates including a collaboration event and level cap increase.
  • December: Half-anniversary character release, introduction of Granweapon and sub-slot systems, plus new content.
  • January: Collaboration with an anime and various other updates.

In particular, the November update will kick off our exciting collaboration event.

In the next developer’s note, I’ll be able to share more details about which IP we’re collaborating with and showcase the characters involved.

※ Note: This is subject to change based on agreements with the IP holder.

Today, I’ll be focusing on introducing the upcoming improvements to the World Challenge and Sanctuary of the Warrior in Gran Saga: Idle.

1. World Challenge

It’s only been two days since the launch of the World Challenge, and we’ve already seen a guild leader break 100 million damage.

Seeing everyone come together to support their server representatives has been truly heartwarming.

However, as this is the first round of the challenge, there were some areas that could be improved. We plan to enhance them step by step as follows:

1. Increasing the Variety of Bosses and Patterns

Given how quickly the top guild leaders have adapted, we’ll be adding new monsters and patterns to provide fresh strategic challenges.

We're currently preparing new bosses, and just like we introduced the Elemental Kings by attribute, we plan to gradually unveil more impressive boss monsters.

2. Participation Requirements and Rule Adjustments

Currently, players can join the World Challenge after clearing Stage 75 of the Challenge.

While the rewards are substantial, we’ve noticed that some players find it difficult to participate.

To address this, we’re working on the following improvements:

  • Growth through Character Development and New Additions

Along with the level cap increase, we will be introducing a new character, Dark Seraphim Seriad, on October 31.

This new character, filling a support role for the first time in a while, will feature powerful buffs, debuffs, healing, and damage-dealing abilities.

Corrupted and stronger than ever, this hero will help players take on formidable foes.

(Rest assured, we’ll conduct thorough testing to ensure the character is well-balanced before release.)

  • Introduction of a Secondary League: Elite Challenge (Tentative Name)

We’ve noticed that top guild leaders take great satisfaction in achieving the highest possible damage.

We’re now exploring ways to share this excitement with a broader group of players.

We’re planning to launch the Elite Challenge, a secondary league with slightly relaxed participation requirements (e.g., clearing Stage 70 instead of Stage 75).

This will give more server representatives the chance to shine.

We’ll provide more details on this soon.

3. Additional Rewards

In addition to quantitative rewards, we’re also working on rewards that offer a more personal sense of accomplishment.

For instance, players who reach certain damage milestones will receive exclusive rewards, such as limited-edition profile icons or titles.

We also plan to offer seasonal rewards based on ranking, including profile icons, titles, and trophies, to make the experience even more rewarding and fun.

2. Sanctuary of the Warrior

While Sanctuary of the Warrior offers the enjoyment of farming unique and legendary attribute-based equipment, we realize that many players may not be fully experiencing the long-term satisfaction of continuous farming.

To address this, we’re working hard to implement the following improvements by November:

1. Equipment Stat Overhaul

We are planning to expand the variety of stat options that can be attached to equipment.

By diversifying and enhancing the stats on equipment, we aim to make the farming process more rewarding and exciting for players.

2. Additional Equipment Option Features

Additional Slots: We plan to introduce additional slots for equipment, allowing for more customization and flexibility in assigning options.

Skill-Based Options: We're designing a system where equipment can be granted skill-based options when certain conditions are met.

This will add even more variety to the equipment you can farm, so stay tuned for this exciting update!

3. New Uses for Dismantling Materials

We’re working on a system that will give players a chance to obtain high-tier equipment by using dismantling materials.

This is aimed at players who may find it difficult to acquire 3rd-tier or lower legendary equipment, allowing them to repeatedly play and work towards better gear.

4. Farming Time Improvements

To address the issue of long farming sessions in Sanctuary of the Warrior leading to player fatigue, we are reviewing ways to adjust the time required.

We’re also planning to tweak the difficulty for players who find the challenge too easy and monotonous.

During rush time, we will be considering adjustments to increase the difficulty and significantly improve the drop rate and quantity of legendary chests based on hunting efficiency.

Lastly, while we’ve been analyzing playtime and pattern data to understand player feedback and have been communicating through lounge monitoring, we recognize that some areas still fell short.

To address this, we plan to establish a new, regular channel for gathering feedback from guild leaders.

Moving forward, we’ll conduct regular surveys to more frequently hear from the guild leaders who love Gran Saga: Grow. This will help us more clearly define the direction of future updates based on your valuable feedback.

Starting with the collaboration event in November, we’re preparing to welcome many new guild leaders. We’re also working hard to ensure Gran Saga: Grow becomes an even more fun and exciting space through the December half-anniversary and the January collaboration updates.
