With yesterday’s Valentine’s Day update, we introduced new costumes for three of Gran Saga Idle’s most beloved heroes.
Through various community channels, we could feel the overwhelming love and support from our Captains, and the entire development team is truly grateful.
As a small token of appreciation, we have prepared special Valentine’s-themed screensavers featuring the new costumes!
Today, I would like to share details about the upcoming March update and address some of the topics we’ve been meaning to discuss with you.
During the recent collaboration event, we received a lot of feedback expressing disappointment over the restriction on Diamond usage in summons.
We deeply value the feedback from our Captains, and moving forward, we will ensure that such inconveniences do not occur again in future updates.
When we first introduced Dragonkin and prepared for Ismael’s launch, we initially announced a 6-month release cycle for new Dragonkin heroes.
However, we’ve noticed that Captains have shown immense interest in this unique class,
and as multi-deck content like Server Defense, World Arena, and others continue to expand,
the need for more team-building options has increased.
As a result, we have decided to reduce the Dragonkin release cycle from 6 months to 3 months (quarterly).
✔ Expands deck-building options for strategic content
✔ Supports new multi-deck gameplay modes
✔ Allows Captains to experience new Dragonkin heroes more frequently
We also recognize concerns about the summon burden of frequent releases.
To help mitigate this, we will continue to expand Diamond acquisition methods through contents such as but not limited to Tower of Ordeals and other events,
ensuring that the balance between growth and summoning remains stable.
The next Dragonkin hero is set to launch in March and will be one of the three teased in our previous Developer Note.
Expect an entirely new Dragonkin hero with unique mechanics and powerful abilities—we’re excited for you to meet them!
In September’s Developer Note, we first introduced the idea of bringing Gran Weapons into Gran Saga Idle.
At the time, we stated our goal was to retain the essence of the original Gran Weapons while minimizing gameplay burdens.
That direction remains unchanged.
✔ Gran Weapons will NOT be a separate summon system
✔ Instead, they will be introduced as individual playable heroes
✔ They will be integrated into the existing hero summon system
Currently, Gran Saga Idle already has a triple summon system (Heroes, Artifacts, Pets).
Adding a separate Gran Weapon summon system would increase complexity and resource strain, which we want to avoid.
Instead, we have chosen to release Gran Weapons as heroes to ensure a seamless and familiar summoning experience while keeping gameplay progression smooth.
➡ The first Gran Weapon hero will be introduced as a February pickup summon!
